Bringing safe and secure truck parking to the trucking industry, in North America, is a noble mission. However, at FinPark, our team members also like to give back to their communities in various ways. This month, our colleague Britton Wesson went on a backpacking trip, in the United States, as part of his involvement with the non-profit Young Life.
Enjoy this spotlight, that we believe, showcases an interesting parallel with FinPark's role and mission in the trucking industry!
"Many times, we've had conversations regarding the difficulties of life and how to overcome the obstacles that come our way."
How Britton gives back
Here's what our colleague had to say regarding his implication:
"For the past 22 years, I've been a volunteer for a non-profit organization called Young Life. Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students in all 50 of the United States and in more that 100 countries around the world.
I've mentored a group of high school guys since their freshman year. We have met weekly for four years. In the summers, I've taken them to a Young Life camp where we grow deeper in our faith. Many times, we've had conversations regarding the difficulties of life and how to overcome the obstacles that come our way.
In May 2025, these guys graduated high school and our final camp together was at Young Life Wilderness. This serves as a basecamp for a backpacking adventure in the San Juan mountains of southern Colorado. Together, we backpacked 30 miles, and hiked to the summit of Mesa Mountain at 13,000 feet. In the evenings, we had great conversations about what lies ahead with college and growing into adulthood and how their faith in Christ can help them become young men who serve their community well."
Britton is now coming back to us recharged, focused and excited to keep bringing safe and secure locations across North America!
How FinPark also helps it's community?
We feel that our mission at FinPark is closely related to Britton's at Young Life: helping individuals better navigate in these stressful times. For our community (the trucking industry), we thrive to help reduce cargo theft, reduce stress on and off the road, and increase operational efficiency!
